Longbridge

This large and enjoyable annual event is once again being held in Cofton Park opposite the former MG-Rover Longbridge Factory. The event starts at 10:00am and finishes at 4:0pm. Whilst this is not a Rover P4 Drivers' Guild event, Rover P4s are always made welcome as part of the vehicle family that ceased with the demise of MG-Rover.

16th - 17th May

Rover P4 Drivers' Guild National Rally

This year we have chosen National Trust's Stourhead House and Gardens near Mere, Wiltshire BA12 6QD. Whilst there will be no organised runs on the Saturday, the area around Stourhead offers lots to see and do prior to the rally on the Sunday. You can visit Longleat Safari Park, or maybe take a drive down the A303 to Sparkford and visit the Haynes Motor Museum. Perhaps you may want to visit historic Bath around half an hour away. About an hour’s drive north is Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill. The venue belongs to the National Trust, therefore access will either be free for Trust members, or payable on entrance for those who are not members of the Trust.

All participants need to book their place at the rally, which will be £15.00 for Guild members and £18.00 for those who are not Guild members. To book your place at the rally, please click HERE to access our e-Commerce service. Having clicked the "2026 Guild National Rally button" you will be taken to the event booking form where you enter your details and then pay by credit/debit card. Alternatively, please contact Graham Cook to make your booking and send a cheque. Graham is a Guild member who has offered to support the booking and associated processes of this event. His phone number is 07922 107663.

To make this an enjoyable weekend by staying before and after the rally day on the 17th, Guild members can take advantage of a discounted room rate at Royal Chase Hotel In Shaftesbury (the home of the Hovis advert). Full details for this attractive offer can be found in the Guild's January 2026 Overdrive magazine.

An optional informal meal at the hotel has been arranged for the evening of the 16th. The menu options and booking information will be sent out with the rally pack which should arrive shortly after making your rally booking.

Please contact the Royal Chase Hotel directly by phone using the information in Overdrive. Information about the hotel, including the phone number, can be found by clicking HERE. YOU WILL NOT OBTAIN THE GUILD'S PREFERENTIAL ROOM RATE IF YOU USE BOOKING.COM OR SIMILAR.

Please click HERE to access Stourhead House and Gardens' website for further information.

If you have any questions, please contact Ken Newton, Events Officer, on 07957 715884.

24th May

Norfolk and Norwich Rover Owners Club
Bressingham All Rover Rally

Following the move to September as a result of Covid, our ‘Flagship’ event is returning to the traditional date of the late May bank holiday in 2026.

As always, this will be an All-Rover rally and is one of the few events where you can see nearly all the models produced by The Rover company from the 1930s right up to the end of production in 2005. There are always around 100 cars to look at and some very knowledgeable owners to talk to.

The event is held against the backdrop of the splendid gardens, the steam museum and the opportunity to take a ride on several steam hauled trains. In addition, the exhibition hall takes you back to the 1940s, with a full-size street scene, period displays, vintage vehicles, traction engines and much more. For those looking to do some spring planting there is also a large garden centre right next to the rally field.

This is always a good opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Please click HERE which takes you to the NNROC website for an entry form. Or you can call Terry on 01603 405280.

The railway are offering 10% discount to all exhibitors. There is a very good restaurant with all the facilities you would expect. At last year’s show we had just short of 40 Rovers on show, and with 126 classics on show we would love to see more P4s at this year’s show. For information about the show or accommodation, please get in touch with the Devon Regional Rep, Ian Hartnell, on This email address is being protected from spambots. 30th August

Quainton All Rover Rally
Quainton Railway Centre, near Aylesbury
Buckinghamshire

The Guild has held this very popular event virtually every year since its formation in 1977. The Railway Centre can be found six miles north of Aylesbury, just north of the A41 and signed just west of Waddesdon, or can be accessed through Quainton village. NB - the HS2 works will almost certainly still be causing disruption and re-routing so please follow any temporary signage. If there is any further useful information I shall post on the Guild website or Facebook Group nearer the date.

Start time is 10:30am. All Rover models are welcome and we also embrace non-Rovers. There is a lot to see and experience, with steam train rides both full size and miniature. The re-erected station beside the car park has static locos and rolling stock at the platforms, including Winston Churchill's World War 2 travelling office suite and one of Queen Victoria's dining cars. There is an excellent cafe and outside picnic area. Across the tracks via the footbridge there is an extensive museum where all aspects of railway life across the decades can be seen. In the closed season there have been some upgrades, together with redecoration and other improvements which I hope will enhance the experience.

At time of writing no prior booking is necessary although this may change in line with site requirements. The venue has confirmed that for 2026 they have once again held the entrance fee at just £6.00 per person, a discount of more than 50 percent. Please note that any site restrictions that may be imposed must be observed and safety notices obeyed.

22nd November

Annual London Westway Rover Group meet up at RAF Hendon in Colindale.

This very enjoyable event is now in it’s 6th year and tempting the weather gods again as they have been enormously kind to us so far!

Meet in the car park for 10.00 a.m. for a chat in the brisk autumn morning before venturing into the vast museum and it’s four hangers for a perusal of the aircraft on show. The cafe is now incorporated permanently in the restaurant but refreshments are still available or you can have a full meal if you so desire.

We generally try to get to the venue early enough to park near each other but this is never guaranteed and we occasionally end up with some modern vehicle insisting on parking in amongst us.

You can prebook on the RAF Hendon website, entry to the Museum is free but parking is at £11 for 6 hours. Alternatively, you can simply pay on the machines at the exit. They operate an ANP system but our old cars often confuse the software. However simply pay the amount for the time you stay and its all good. I do not believe anyone has fallen foul of the system so far!

Please refer to the museum's website by clicking HERE.

Last year we attracted our largest group yet and were delighted to be joined by an MGBGT, an open topped Armstrong Siddeley and a host of Austins and Morris’s. It sets a high bar for this year!

Remember, it’s inside the ULEZ so modern cars are subject to this but not our Historics!
